Development and launch of the Final League.
Girls’ football is growing rapidly. But the difference in level is still significant. Too big. That is why the KNVB introduced a new league structure for girls up to the age of 20. It is divided into four phases, all coming together in a central final tournament. The challenge: getting clubs excited and raising awareness for the new initiative.
The insight: football is for everyone
It should go without saying that football is not just for boys. By developing something specifically for girls now, you are highlighting the differences.
Solution: launch the Final League
We have given the final tournament a name that covers the whole spectrum and reflects the KNVB’s ambition to bring girls’ football up to the same level as the boys. In fact, we are organising something that might be introduced in the boys’ game only at a later stage.
The result: the largest football tournament in the Netherlands
On June 10th, almost 45,000 girls from more than 300 clubs played in the Final League. For fun or to win. HUNT developed the name, but also all the communication tools. From getting the clubs excited to creating content for social media. We even developed an anthem in collaboration with DJ La Fuente.
